The first possibility to make a World Cup 2010 bet in online sports betting in the round of 16 occurred on Saturday as Uruguay took on South Korea.

South Korea concluded 2nd in Group B while Uruguay was the top squad from Group A. Uruguay had been very impressive with two victories and a draw and they were preferred in World Cup sports betting versus South Korea. Uruguay is undefeated versus South Korea in their four previous games and they looked like the much more powerful side in this Saturday competition.

South Korea played Nigeria to a 2-2 draw and was only able to get through to the knockout round. South Korea concluded with only four points but that was adequate to get through Group B that was won by Argentina. South Korea looked great in their first game versus Greece but then was owned by Argentina. They did what they had to do though versus Nigeria and got the point to move forward. South Korea features Park Ji Sung and Lee Jung Soo and not a lot else. It figured to be extremely difficult for South Korea to score versus a Uruguay squad that had yet to permit a goal in the World Cup.

Uruguay rolled over South Africa in their 2nd game after they played to a draw with France in their first game. They controlled Mexico in their 3rd game to win Group B. Uruguay has the capability to score goals with Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez and they play excellent defense. They should have been able to manipulate a South Korea defense that has granted 6 goals in three games.

South Korea has allowed the first goal in their last two games to Argentina and Nigeria. One time they permitted the first goal to Uruguay, they probably had no possibility to win, although they came back to get the draw versus Nigeria. South Korea has obtained five goals but two of those were obtained due to errors by other teams. Uruguay rarely makes any errors on defense. The other three goals for South Korea were obtained on set pieces and Uruguay is excellent at defending those. Uruguay progressed to the quarterfinals with a win over South Korea due to the fact they’ve got the better offense and the better defense.

The final score of 2-1 in prefer of Uruguay was little surprise to any person. Japan is now left as the only Asian squad left with an opportunity to get anywhere since South Korea has now been eliminated from the World Cup. And their forthcoming game versus Paraguay isn’t in fact looking too great for the Japanese squad.

South Korea’s coach, Huh Jung-moo, claimed through an interpreter that soccer in South Korea is a work in progress. He stated that the condition of his country’s soccer program is unquestionably in better shape now than it was in 2002, when it reached the World Cup semifinals as a co-host country.

Uruguay’s coach, Oscar Tabarez, claimed that South Korea has grown pretty a bit as a squad. He looked impressed with the South Korean squad when he said that though they had to lose the game, they leave the World Cup with their heads held high.

The World Cup betting experience was not expected to play out like this for England. The English squad came to South Africa as the third most favored squad in the World Cup odds to win the whole game with a lineup loaded with soccer sports betting superstars.

This squad was expected to start the World Cup sports wagering action by humiliating its former colony – the united states – and displaying the Yanks what actual ‘football’ was all about. And with 3 points under their belts they would then go on to destroy weakling Algeria and then may afford to sit back and play the scrubs in the final Group C game vs Slovenia as they got ready for the World Cup wagering round of 16.

But as any person that’s been observing the World Cup odds action knows, the English side was fortunate only to progress out of the group stage.

Though Germany didn’t have to deal with the monumental World Cup betting hopes of the English side, it had trouble too. After an extraordinary beat of the Aussies to kick off its 2010 World Cup odds action, the squad fell flat the next competition losing to Serbia, before clinching a spot in the knockout stage with a 1-0 win vs Ghana.

It was a quite intriguing soccer wagering competition between these 2 European squad sides. Germany plays a quite controlled, but surprisingly aggressive offense competition while England actually isn’t playing most of anything right now.

Germany and England have a background of playing fantastic World Cup matches. They competed at Wembley, which England won 4-2, back in 1966. It was furthermore the first World Cup meeting between 2 of football’s oldest enemies since 1990, when West Germany beat England on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

And for the 2010 World Cup, Germany pretty much trashed the English squad to a 4-1 win.

England (17/10) was the ever so minor fave over Germany (19/10), but it was the Germans who had the last laugh.

The Germans came out fast to a 2-0 lead before the English squad landed their point, and the English defense was slack. Germany claimed the first goal of the game at 20 minutes with a long kick downfield from Manuel Neuer. It was his 12th at World Cup finals and his 50th international goal. England’s defenders were found out of position again for Germany’s 2nd goal as Lukas Podolski kicked a left-footed shot into the far corner of the goal. England got back in the competition five minutes later when Matthew Upson headed in the ball.

Then came the competition’s most controversial moment when England’s Frank Lampard was refused an equalizing goal. He punted the ball in from the edge of the penalty area. It struck the underside of the bar and rebounded a few feet over the goal line, and the referee simply did not recognize the goal. The competition went on with England being refused the point.

And even with English coach Fabio Capello’s claims to the contrary, that goal almost certainly wouldn’t have made the difference.

Germany will confront Argentina in the last 8 on Saturday. The team has now arrived at at least the quarterfinals at every World Cup since 1954.

No team has been as extraordinary during the World Cup 2010 probabilities online betting tournament as Argentina and no team has been more exciting to watch. Ironically, the Argentine team came to the South African World Cup online sports betting tournament with all kinds of question marks hanging over its head and, actually, scarcely even qualified for the World Cup probabilities tournament in the 1st place.

But credit and apologies to the most insane SOB to ever coach a World Cup squad, Maradona, because his team is playing light out right now.

After torching its Group B tournament for three victories in three matches and scoring 7 goals along the way this team is the closest thing to soccer wagering juggernaut as you’ll find in the World Cup wagering action right now.

Pity the Mexicans.

Mexico has a very great looking team in its own right and versus almost any other team on this side of the World Cup probabilities draw they would have had a healthy opportunity and could even make a great underdog pick. The all-around play of this team is extraordinary and it’s hard to pinpoint just one weakness. In one of the hardest groups in the World Cup betting action, Group A, this team lost a hard 1-0 decision to Uruguay in the final competition but was otherwise extraordinary.

This team ought to have been at its top when it took on Argentina but regrettably it wasn’t enough to get by this South American titan and into the World Cup wagering quarterfinals. Mexico’s biggest shot would have been to slow the competition down, eliminate the passing lanes and stuff as many defenders as feasible in front of the box and stop any balls from getting through to the Argentine striking corps of Messi, Tevez, Higuain and Milito.

The final score of 3-1 was fairly controversial but fairly much came down to a superior Argentine team having their way with a troubled Mexican offense. Argentina is so fast and so great in the open field and counter attack that it would have been suicide for Mexico to even attempt an offensive competition plan.

The competition opened up with Mexico’s Carlos Salcido making a goal in the 8th minute. Until Tevez got his 1st goal and the tide of the competition changed, things looked great for the Mexican team. Mexico just could not get the ball away from Argentina long enough to score from that point on.

Carlos Tevez scored a goal twice – once on a disputed goal – and Gonzalo Higuain added another as the Albiceleste beat Mexico 3-1 on Sunday to proceed into the quarterfinals.

The second goal, scored by Tevez by proceeding in a pass from Lionel Messi in the 26th minute, was a issue. Tevez was obviously offside when he butted it in. But after consulting with his linesman while surrounded by irritated Mexican and Argentine participants, the referee awarded the goal.

The Albiceleste has won this match and is now one game closer to the World Cup wagering finals. They have progressed to the quarterfinals where they are going to compete with Germany.

The UFC 116 wagering main event looks on paper to be very intriguing for MMA fight wagering fanatics.

But it will likely be anything but intriguing when the rubber hits the pavement and UFC wagering champ Brock Lesnar and Interim Champion Shane Carwin step into the Octagon.

Lesnar will wipe the mat with Carwin in sports betting and very likely earn a KO win against the mining engineer from Colorado. Carwin is basically not in the same class as Lesnar as a competitor although his record in the run-up to this UFC 116 odds event might be impressive.

A great deal has been made of Lesnar’s previous career in Vince McMahan’s traveling WWE circus as a performing circus clown. His authority as an MMA competitor has been significantly questioned since his UFC betting debut and continues to be all the way up this UFC 116 betting competition. But it’s not fair, and ridiculous, to compare what he’s doing now in the UFC Main Events to what he did in his fake wrestling days.

Lesnar (4-1) has gotten better with every match and has shown remarkable progress as an MMA competitor during his short career. He joined the UFC betting as a robust but raw competitor and gradually his skills and athleticism have been perfected into a very impressive MMA betting champ.

Carwin has not fought anybody even close to Lesnar’s ability level inside the Octagon even with being the owner of an ideal MMA wagering record (12-0) and the UFC 116 odds competition will be a rude awakening for the man. The list of fighters that Carwin has defeated vs tournament that Lesnar has vanquished is actually not even comparable, though naturally the heavyweight division of the UFC right now is a little thin.

But nobody who’s ever fought Carwin has seen the second round. Carwin secured the interim heavyweight championship with his impressive win over Frank Mir in his last fight at UFC 111. And you’d believe he’d have earned some regard with an undefeated record of 12-0. But he is still viewed as the underdog by the oddsmakers. Carwin himself has said that if he touches anybody with his hands, he can KO them. He’s fairly confident in his own skills.

Carwin and Lesnar have plenty of similarities and that may make the UFC 116 wagering competition somewhat interesting, at least for a while, but Lesnar should have his way with Carwin and possibly even knock him out. Both are former wrestling champions and intense in their fighting strategies.

The 2 were originally set to encounter each other at UFC 106, before Shane Carwin won the interim heavyweight championship, but Brock Lesnar pulled out of the fight as a result of an illness that kept him from training.

UFC 116 odds bettors will probably see a lot of striking and with these robust men that opens up a lot of possibilities for a KO. And if anybody is going to get knocked out in this UFC wagering match most most likely going to be Carwin.

UFC 116 is scheduled for July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Don’t forget to see the UFC 116 card for\ the rest of the bout wagering action.

Japan and Paraguay compete on Tuesday in World Cup wagering in sportsbook gambling at the round of 16.

Japan is a big surprise as they finished second in Group E while Paraguay was the Group F champion. Paraguay is the favorite in World Cup betting probabilities at the sports gambling and casino for this Tuesday competition.

It’s a serious surprise that World Cup wagering probabilities include Japan in the round of 16. Not only was Japan not supposed to progress from Group E, they were supposed to finish last. Japan in fact got two wins in the group to finish second right behind the Netherlands. They made it to the knockout round when they whipped Denmark 3-1. Keisuke Honda and Kasuhito Endo landed goals in the first half. Denmark minimized the lead on a goal from Jon Dahl Tomasson but Shinji Okazaki landed to put the competition away for Japan.

Japan coach Takeshi Okada thinks attaining a first ever World Cup quarterfinal with a win over Paraguay on Tuesday would be an critical step in developing football in his nation. After South Korea was eliminated in the second round by another South American squad, Uruguay, Japan is the last surviving Asian squad.

Japan routed Cameroon and Denmark in spite of not being viewed as a risk in Group E, though they did lose to the Netherlands. In the deciding win over Denmark, the Japanese were terrific as they created several chances. Honda landed the first goal on a great free kick while Endo did the same. The loss by Denmark was a major surprise. Denmark was supposed to defeat Japan but they didn’t play well and were eliminated in the group stage for the first time in their history.

Paraguay concluded up winning Group F which turned out to be the poorest of all the groups in the World Cup. Paraguay needed only a draw in the last competition vs New Zealand and that is exactly what they played for. In what was a pretty dull competition that concluded up scoreless, neither Paraguay nor New Zealand had plenty of chances. Paraguay only needed a draw though so they were thrilled to get through to the knockout round.

Both of these squads want to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup which neither has accomplished thus far. This competition will more than likely demand its methods of play in this competition as Paraguay submits a pretty different type of play with mental toughness and technical awareness while Japans first three challenger were on the attack.

Paraguay is liked in World Cup betting probabilities, and they’re viewed as the better squad than Japan. Paraguay will expect to frustrate the Japanese by slowing them down. The Japanese are hoping their dead-ball prowess and speedy attacks could hold the important to breaking down the South Americans. Japan has the momentum after a pretty persuasive win over Denmark. Japan landed four goals in their three group games and granted only two while Paraguay landed three goals in their three games and granted only 1. With neither squad having much scoring capability this could be a low scoring match on Tuesday.

World Cup gambling at the sportsbook on Sunday in the round of 16 might readily be a semifinal or final but Germany and England competed on Sunday with the loser being eliminated from the World Cup gambling and bets.

The World Cup gambling probabilities were about as close as it is possible to get on this match with the English the slightest of favorites.

World Cup gambling has favored Germany and England in each of their group matches and neither team has been extremely outstanding. England was truly unsatisfying in their three group matches nevertheless they did enough to get through as the second place team from Group C behind the united states. Germany at least got 2 wins in Group D, although they were not very outstanding either.

England could have more talent but thus far in this World Cup they haven’t yet shown most of it. Wayne Rooney hasn’t obtained yet but at least in the last match versus Slovenia he looked better. He was the 1 player who might make a major difference on Sunday.

Germany and England have a history of playing fantastic World Cup matches. England won 4-2 when they met back in the 1966 final at Wembley. Geoff Hurst obtained a hat trick for England in that final. Four years later it was Germany upsetting England in the quarterfinals. The squads met in 1990 in the semifinals and the competition went to a penalty shootout that Germany ended up winning 4-3.

And now Germany has pretty much thrashed the English team to a 4-1 win in the 2010 World Cup.

While it was believed that the similarly-matched squads may come down to penalty time in a close competition, that only wasn’t the situation. The English defense was sloppy and the Germans came out fast to a 2-0 lead before the English team obtained their point.

At that point, England’s Frank Lampard scored a goal that would have brought the competition to a tie. The goal wasn’t spotted by the referee unfortunately for the English team. The ball bounced two feet behind the line at the goal, but lacking delay, the German goaltender basically picked it up and tossed it back into play. That essentially tricked the referee into thinking the ball had not crossed the line and the English team was denied their point.

Germany might think the decision compensates for for 1966, when the English team was notoriously awarded a third goal even though Geoff Hurst’s shot appeared to bounce down on the line.

England’s coach Fabio Capello believed that goal might have been a turning point for the English team, and they could have ended up winning the competition after that. However, a greater German team basically ran away with the match in the second half. Germany’s Thomas Muller obtained 2 times to take Germany to a 4-1 lead, providing England their biggest ever World Cup loss.

Germany, who have now attained at least the quarterfinals at every World Cup since 1954, will encounter Argentina in the last eight on Saturday.

Contrary to popular belief there’s more the approaching UFC 116 wagering event than the Main Event between heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and challenger Shane Carwin.

You can be pardoned for believing that the UFC 116 odds competitions did not extend past these heavyweight bruisers as this Main Event match has been receiving all the buzz for the UFC 116 mma fight betting event for weeks.

But there are a lot of fantastic UFC 116 odds opportunities in sports betting and several other quite great competitions on the Main Card. The light heavyweight match between Krzystof Sosyznski and Stephan Bonnar is one quite interesting MMA wagering opportunity.

When the UFC 116 betting event finally gets moving in Las Vegas on July 3rd a lot of the recognition and the MMA betting money will be on Lesnar and Carwin and that should only create further online betting opportunities on matches like the Soszynski-Bonnar matchup.

Neither of these fighters is all that great and some UFC wagering fans could even question why fighters of their standing would be included on a UFC wagering Main Event card. And while they could not be all that skilled (a combined record of 37-20) these 2 men should beat the hell out of each other and, if not a portrait of fantastic fighting skills, it should be bloody knockout battle to the death.

Soszynski enters the UFC 116 betting contest with a career record of 19-9, 7 of those victories coming by KO and 4 of those losses coming by KO. That means the possibility of his UFC 116 odds encounter with Bonnar is quite likely to end a KO also, and that’s what MMA betting fans love to see.

Bonnar isn’t all that different of a fighter. His career MMA betting record is a sloppy 18-11. Only 2 of those victories have come by KO and only 2 of losses have come by KO. However this guy can take a punch.

UFC 110, where Soszynski got the better of Bonnar and the competition was called because of doctor stoppage, was the last time these 2 fighters met up in the UFC wagering event. Bonnar was stopped in the third round because of a cut he gained after Soszynski headbutted him. The combination of referee and doctor cut short his plans that evening, though a proud Bonnar wanted to continue the competition. He basically didn’t consider such a small cut to be a show-stopper. His biggest issue with the competition was the decision that declared Soszynski the champion that evening. In spite of it being apparent to everybody in attendance and at home, Soszysnki’s accidental headbutt was overlooked and Bonnar was handed a stoppage loss.

Enthusiasts can expect the same kind of bloody, knockdown, drag-out competition as the first matchup between these when they climb back into the Octagon for the UFC 116 wagering event.

On July 3rd, UFC 116 is scheduled at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Do not forget to look at the remainder of the fight wagering action on the card for UFC 116.

The knockout round is here and the competition between the U.S. and Ghana on Saturday was a highly anticipated 1 at the usa sportsbook.

The US team was finding themselves greatly supported by a suddenly pretty interested country that normally does not pay much attention to soccer. The United States got a late goal from Landon Donovan to defeat Algeria in their earlier competition in an outstanding performance that had plenty of Americans beaming with pride. Ghana also secured progression from Group D last week. Several enthusiasts believed the US would go all the way, and the US was a slight favorite in World Cup sports betting in this competition.

When Landon Donovan obtained in injury time, the U.S. was only 3 minutes away from not moving on from Group C. In reality, videos of the reactions of United States enthusiasts to Donovan’s last-minute goal circulated the Internet, ultimately reaching Donovan himself and moving him to tears. The 1-0 win gave the U.S. the top spot in Group C so not only did the US defeat Algeria but they won Group C and avoided Germany in the round of 16. Instead the US gets Ghana which, on paper, seemed as though a much easier competition. England ended 2nd in Group C and they proceeded on to face Germany in the knockout round. They were eliminated at that point when Germany beat the team in an embarrassing 4-1 final score.

With a victory and two draws, the U.S. had played pretty well in the World Cup at that point. They’ve been struggling to score goals though and they have also had some poor fortune. They easily may have had at least 3 goals in the previous competition vs Slovenia and two or 3 vs Algeria. Clint Dempsey has created a lot of chances and Donovan has been reliable in the World Cup. Even Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley have competed well. Defensively the US was giving up a few chances but they have a great goalkeeper in Tim Howard.

Ghana was coming off a 1-0 loss to Germany but Ghana still moved on due to the fact Australia upset Serbia in the other competition. Ghana and Australia ended tied on points but Ghana won the goal differential. Ghana had the backing of the enthusiasts on Saturday since Ghana is the only African team to make the knockout round. They were certainly reveling in being the last outstanding African team at the 2010 World Cup.

Ghana have genuinely had trouble to score goals though they have some ability. They’ve got only two in their 3 World Cup matches. Their goaltender, Richard Kingson bailed them out over and again vs Germany.

Ghana was just a team that the U.S. may – and nearly certainly should – have been able to defeat on a regular basis. It’s not that Ghana is a poor team. It’s that the U.S. is just better. So it was a bit of a surprise, and almost certainly an emotional 1 to Americans, when the US team was eliminated by Ghana with a final score of 2-1 on Saturday’s competition.

Ghana will now be only the third African team to make it this far by moving on to the quarterfinals. They will be playing Uruguay on Friday.

The Netherlands, as they faced Slovakia on Monday, was 1 of the biggest faves in World Cup soccer wagering in the round of 16.

The Netherlands was unbeaten in group play as they won all three of their matches while Slovakia had a win, a draw and a loss against World Cup betting probabilities at the sportsbook.

World Cup wagering showed the Netherlands as 1 of the main contenders to win the World Cup and they’ve lived up to that advance advertisement. They were coming off a 2-1 win over Cameroon in their last game in Group E. The Netherlands has been just unbeatable. They are the first time since Brazil in 1982 to claim all of their qualifying matches and all of their group matches. Arjen Robben had an assist on the competition winning goal and Robin van Persie scored a goal against Cameroon. The Netherlands scored 5 goals in their three group matches and granted only 1.

Slovakia is an unanticipated entrant into the round of 16. Italy was so horrible that Slovakia was able to move on with a win, a draw and a tie, though they were not expected to advance to the knockout round. Slovakia concluded second with 4 points while Paraguay won Group F with 5 points. Slovakia came up from last place in the final game up to second place as they defeated defending World Champ Italy 3-2. Slovakia got a pretty shocking win against the World Cup betting probabilities after Robert Vittek scored 2 times for Slovakia. It’s the first time that Slovakia is in the round of 16 as an independent country.

Slovakia could have been able to keep on their surprise run if they got more goals scoring from Vittek. Slovakia needed to find a way to get through because the Netherlands has been difficult defensively. Vladimir Weiss, Slovakia head coach, was apologizing before the Italy game for his team’s play but following that win, he had some individuals singing his praises. Slovakia eliminated the defending champ, Italy, by defeating them 3-2 in that game. The competitors have been pretty displeased with the media at home and many of them just overlooked reporters after the win over Italy.

Even with being outscored 5-4 in their three group matches, Slovakia progressed to the round of 16. So it just didn’t seem pretty likely that they would defeat the Netherlands in Monday’s game.

When the Netherlands eliminated Slovakia from the World Cup tournament with a final score of 2-1, it was therefore not that a lot of a shock. The Eastern European team will be happy with making it this far in their first-ever World Cup appearance since Czechoslovakia split in 1993, even though they were eliminated.

The Netherlands displayed some of the brilliant passing and scoring that is a trademark of the Netherlands when it is playing well.

The Netherlands will be competing in the quarterfinals now that they have attained the final 8. But now they will be competing with World Cup juggernaut Brazil in their next game. That’s going to be a much different tournament than their relatively effortless win against the weaker Slovakian team.
